The poster boy for gay fabulosity everywhere, Neil Patrick Harris officially came out as a gay man in 2006 in an interview with People magazine. He specifically told the magazine, "I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love."
Harris later went public about his long-term committed relationship with actor David Burtka, which began in 2004. Since that time, Harris and Burtka became the proud fathers of twins through a surrogate; Gideon Scott and Harper Grace were born on October 12, 2010.
Harris is best known for his roles as the title character, a 16-year-old medical doctor, on 'Doogie Howser, M.D.' and Barney Stinson on 'How I Met Your Mother.'
