Randy Moss Announces End of Retirement

Return 1 of 4

Former New England Patriots WR Randy Moss wants to come back to the NFL. The six-time Pro Bowler announced this morning (on his 35th birthday, no less) that he plans to play in the 2012 season, and that he's looking at his options. "Faith, family, and football, that's my M.O., bro," he reportedly said on UStreamtv. "Your boy be back for the upcoming season." Moss abruptly retired in August 2011 after a 13-season stint with teams Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, and Tennessee Titans.

According to the Associated Press, Moss had this to say concerning the reason for his sudden retirement: "I had to really get out of the fast lane and really get a grasp on what was going on in my real life," he said, adding, "I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm happy to be in the position I'm in. I've been playing football since I was six-years old. I don't think y'all really realize that. The day I retired took a lot to call it quits, took a lot of guts."
