The Honorable Life of Beastie Boy Adam Yauch

The Life of MCA 1 of 10

Adam Yauch, one-third of the Beastie Boys, adopted the moniker of MCA within the band and onstage, and he and his fellow Beasties transformed the hip-hop music landscape for generations to come. MCA, along with Ad Rock and Mike D, came out of Brooklyn in the mid-'80s, gained a massive fan base thanks to the overwhelming popularity of their groundbreaking album 'Licensed to Ill' and continued to evolve as a rapper, musician, man and humanitarian until his death on March 4, 2012 at the age of 47.
