Picky eaters can be hard to deal with, but it's not impossible to free someone from a fate of eternal pizza and hot dogs. The situation must be handled carefully, but if its done right, you can get a picky eater to down just about anything! Follow these tips and enjoy less complaints about your cooking!

The first and most important tip for dealing with a picky eater is being persistent. While you might think that offering someone a certain vegetable five or six times is enough, it may take up to 20 times for them to just try a bite! Just keep putting that broccoli on their plate and encourage them to try it each time. If you're still having problems, try enforcing one of these rules:

  • They must lick a food before refusing it.
  • They must take a small bite.
  • They must put it their mouth, but are allowed to spit it out.
