Keeping a well-maintained lawn is a lot of work, especially when your yard is under attack by weeds. These unwanted plants tend to spring up everywhere; and once their roots are in place, it's very hard to get rid of them. Find out which weeds pose the biggest threat to your lawn and how to deal with them!
Dandelions are one of the most common weeds that plague untreated yards. This broadleaf weed has strong taproots and doesn't even die in the winter. The dandelion is very resilient, and its numerous floating seeds can spread to an entire yard with a simple gust of wind. You can try pulling at the flower's base to remove it, but larger, more persistent dandelions should be dug up with a spade. There are also a number of herbicides that are effective against this weed.
