How Do You Use IE in Windows 8?

Browsing in Style 1 of 7

Internet Explorer may not have a great reputation, but Microsoft has vastly improved the web browser for Windows 8. There are actually two versions of Internet Explorer, an app that activates in the Start screen and a more familiar version that works on the Desktop.

To start using IE in Windows 8, simply tap or click on the tile on the Start screen. It should open up quickly to the default homepage of MSN for Windows 8. You'll notice that this app is a little bit different from ordinary web browsing. The only visible controls appear at the bottom in a bar that contains the web address and navigation buttons. If you select the web address, the bar will expand to show all your pinned, frequent, and favorite sites.
