What Do You Really Know About Hanukkah?

What Does Hanukkah Mean? 1 of 11

Hanukkah is a holiday on which members of the Jewish faith celebrate the victory of Judah the Maccabee over the Greek and Roman armies, who vowed to assert control over the religious group. Once the battle had been won, Judah rededicated the Temple of Jerusalem. It is fitting then that "Hanukkah" means "dedication." It is during this holiday that many show intense dedication to their faith.
