Home improvement can seem like a daunting task at first, but it's extremely rewarding once you've finished the job. Even if you're not very handy, you should be able to do any of these easy projects!
One of the simplest things that can improve the look of a house is a little interior paint. Pick out one wall to become an accent wall or redo an entire room if you're feeling ambitious. You'll need a paint roller, a rolling tray, a small paint brush, some painter's tape, and the paint itself. To get a desired color of paint, pick out color swatch and take it to your hardware store.
Once you have the paint, you need to clear the area to be painted and tape off anything that you don't want to paint, such as carpet edges, baseboards, the ceiling, or adjacent walls. Pour a small amount of the paint into your rolling tray and roll your brush along the textured surface of the tray until it is covered but not dripping. Paint the wall in a pattern going from one side to the other, allow the first coat to dry, and then apply a second coat (and a third if needed).
Using the paint brush, touch up any edges or corners that were missed by the roller. Once all paint is dry, remove the painters tape to reveal a perfectly painted surface that adds a little color to your home.
