Speeding up normal holiday activities can be a great way to burn calories and get moving. Take the concept behind something like speed golf (in which you speed up the traditional leisurely game by taking shots and running from hole to hole in an effort to finish first), and apply it to festive Christmas activities.
Get a group together to sing Christmas carols. Chart a route, go door-to-door belting out carols at sped-up tempos, sprint off to the next house, and see how fast you can finish your route.
You can also try racing to hang Christmas lights, shovel the driveway or wrap presents.
