Are Parental Controls in Windows 8?

Locating Family Safety 1 of 3

Windows 8 has a Family Safety feature that allows parents to protect their children on the Internet, as well as monitor and control their computer activities and usage. To activate these parental control features, you'll need to set up a new user account.

Swipe from the right side of the screen, tap Settings in the Charm bar, and then Change PC settings at the bottom (or press the Windows key and the I key at the same time). Select Users, and the Add a user option near the bottom right. Now you're ready to set up an account with Family Safety.
