What Are the Worst Starbucks Drink Ideas?

Starbucks Drink Hits and Misses 1 of 11

March 7, 2013

In addition to the delicious constants (Vanilla Latte, Carmel Macchiato, Mocha) on the classic Starbucks drink menu, the coffee giant is always looking to seize optimal timing for the perfect promotional beverage. Every year, customers are treated to a handful of seasonal drinks - some brand new offerings and some beloved favorites. Recently, Starbucks announced the addition of the Hazelnut Macchiato to its drink menu, which takes a long-time favorite flavor of hazelnut and modifies a Starbucks Espresso Macchiato with scrumptiously drizzled hazelnut sauce.

Seasonal classics that delight the masses every year include the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Peppermint Mocha (although peppermint is always on hand behind the counter), Egg Nog Latte, Gingerbread Latte and Caramel Brulee Latte. In recent years, Starbucks has served up a wealth of new flavors looking to make a big splash, including Mocha Coconut, Salted Caramel, Honey, Blueberries and Creme, Apple Chia, Berry Chai, and Maple, among others. Some were seasonal hits, while others were obvious misfires.

With that in mind, we've taken it upon ourselves to shine a light on several flavors that have either been overlooked or never even considered.
