What Were the Most Intense Manhunts of All Time?

Boston Marathon Bombers 1 of 18

After two blasts near the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon killed three people and injured more than 180 others, the world was on the lookout for the people responsible. In what amounted to what Salon declared to be "the biggest internet manhunt in history," two suspects were determined to be Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, and his brother Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19.

In the terrifying hours that followed, the brothers killed an MIT officer, launched a firefight with Boston police and held Watertown, MA under siege before the elder Tsnarnaev was killed and Dzhokhar fled into hiding, only to be discovered and captured while severely wounded on a boat several hours later.
