The first thing to understand is that each team is divided into three parts: Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. The Offense is responsible for scoring points, and is made up of eleven players. It includes a Quarterback, Runningback, Wide Recievers, Tight Ends, Offensive Linemen, and an optional Fullback.

The Quarterback recieves calls from an Offensive Coordinator from the sideline, tells the ten players and the play is run. Certain quarterbacks change the play based on what they see from the other team's defense, which is called an audible. When the offense moves the ball into the end zone, it's called a touchdown and is worth six points.
