Scariest Places on the Entire Planet

Centralia, Pennsylvania 1 of 16

The world is full of beautiful places you should try to see before you die but these locations did not make that list, unless of course you wanted to die of fright!

Up until 1962, Centralia, PA was a bustling coal mining town until a mine near the town caught on fire, lighting a vein of coal that ran right under the town. The fire has been burning since, with temperatures of up to 1000 degrees causing sinkholes that swallowed people alive. Nearly everyone fled the town. Only 7 brave souls live in the area today. Even the zip code was revoked by the US postal service in 2002.
