Business jargon is so annoying. Why can't people at the office just say what they mean in plain English -- instead of resorting to all these buzzwords? The whole thing is getting ridiculous. You just about need an MBA to understand it all!
Take for example the business lingo "drinking the Kool-Aid." This phrase has come to mean blindly accepting or following something -- like a company policy -- without any thought or questioning. But the origin of the expression is the 1978 Jonestown Massacre. It refers to cult members who died after drinking a powdered soft drink laced with cyanide. This particular corporate speak is in extremely bad taste!
Wait till you hear the rest of these business buzzwords -- hopefully they won't get on your nerves too much!
