One of the biggest reasons that people are more depressed in winter is because of the shorter days. So do your best to get outside and get some sunshine every day. It's best if you get outside, even if it is only for a few minutes, within the first two hours of waking up, the earlier the better. Even if you can't get outside, because it is too cold for instance, try opening your curtains to let as much natural light inside as possible during the day.
