The deadliest plane crash in history to have a single survivor happened in 1987. Northwest Airlines Flight 255 took off from the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and almost immediately stalled out. The plane hit a light pole, rolled, crashed into the highway, and caught fire. There were 156 fatalities, including 6 crew, 148 passengers, and 2 people on the ground. Four-year-old Cecelia Cichan was found alive still buckled in her seat and didn't speak about the event until 25 years later.
