Acid rain can change the pH of lake water from 5.2 to what? 4.4, 5.4,7.1 or 9.0?

Acid rain is the deposition of wet (rain, snow, sleet, fog, and dew) and dry (acidifying particles and gases) acidic components. A more accurate term is acid deposition. Clean or unpolluted rain has a slightly acidic pH of over 5.7, because carbon dioxide and water in the air react together to form carbonic acid, but unpolluted rain also contains other chemicals.
