Because of their size,smoking one cigar is like smoking 3-8 cigarettes. Cigars don't have filters to reduce tar and nicotine.

The word cigarette is a French word from 'cigar' and 'ette,' meaning of course, little cigar. Smoking cigarettes and other types of tobacco products are harmful to your health. The government has banned smoking in most public places throughout the United States. Cigarettes are small cylinders of paper filled with fine cut tobacco products, and sometimes filters,used for smoking. Cigarettes are highly addictive and have been proven to cause cancer.
