Are mom dog supposed to be very rough with their babies and bite their necks and legs so hard that the puppies scream loud?
If the mother dog nips at her puppies, that is sometimes normal. She is teaching her pup acceptable behavior. If the mother dog is biting her pups hard, then there may be a problem. The mother dog may be too stressed.
