North Korea was created after Korea split up at the end of the Korean War. It is a hereditary dictatorship, one of the most xenophobic countries in the world, and also one of the poorest. The country is in possession of nuclear weapons.
About Kim Jong il
Kim Jong il was the supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, or North Korea, from 1994 until his death in 2011. Known for combining communism, unauthorized nuclear weapons program and general craziness, he is thought to have died from complications from cancer on December 17 2011.
