Are stomata more likely to be open or closed on a hot day? Please explain your answer?
A plant's stomata is more likely to be open on a hot day. Plants lose a good deal of water through stomata and many desert plants are CAM plants rather than C3 or C4, which means they only open their stomata on a hot day to decrease water loss.
