Thin Lizzy is a heavy metal band, but I wouldn't call them a classic rock band. That's the Stones, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, etc.

About Thin Lizzy
Thin Lizzy is an Irish rock band that formed in 1969. They released thirteen albums and were best known for the songs ''The Boys Are Back in Town,'' ''Jailbreak'' and "Whiskey in the Jar.'' The band continues to play to this day, but the original lineup played its final show in 1986 after lead singer and founding member Phil Lynott died from drug related medical problems.
