About NASA
NASA, also known as The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, is a government agency responsible for the nation's civilian space program. NASA was created on July 29, 1959 as a result of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA). NASA headquarters are located in Washington D.C. The agency has a budget of around $17 billion dollars a year.
About Space Shuttle
The space shuttle was the main spacecraft used by NASA and the United States from 1981 to 2011. It launched with the help of two rocket boosters attached to a large fuel tank and was the most reliable form of space travel to date.
