Are two new substances formed when gasoline is burned?
Yes, as with other fossil fuels, burning natural gas produces carbon dioxide which is a greenhouse gas. Because natural gas is mostly methane, small amounts of methane can sometimes leak into the atmosphere from wells, storage tanks, & pipelines.

About Greenhouse Gas
Greenhouse gasses are gasses that trap heat and infrared radiation in the atmosphere. On Earth they include water vapor, methane, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and ozone. Even with the level of greenhouse gasses in our atmosphere rising, at least we don't look like Venus with temperatures in the 400 - 800 degree Fahrenheit range.
About Gas
Gas is technically a state of matter where molecules are in an excited state, but is more often used as a reference to the fuel, gasoline. Gasoline is also known as petrol due to its derivation from petroleum.
