Can a hamster just never grow teeth?
Hamsters who tend to chew on cage bars seem particularly susceptible to loose or missing teeth but by and large as the hamster ages, loose and missing teeth are not unusual if your hamster loses a tooth or if the lost tooth never grows back. Thanks for using ChaCha

A hamster is a small rodent commonly kept as a pet. They are also used as lab animals in scientific testing.
About Teeth
Teeth are small, white structures made of calcium that are found in the jaw bone of animals and humans. The shape of an animal's teeth determine what that animal eats. Herbivores eat plants, which are hard to digest. As a result they have a mouth full of molars to grind and chew their food. Carnivores eat meat, so their teeth are designed to kill prey and rip flesh. Humans are omnivores, so we have a little of both.
