Can animals get STDs?
Sexually Transmitted Diseases occur in all animals, from mammals to insects to birds. Brucellosis is the most common STD. Remember humans are animals even though we pretend we are not.

Two or three of the major STDs have come from animals-Syphilis, gonorrhea, & HIV. Brucellosis is the most common STD in animals.
