Can i file amended returns for filing separate?
On federal income tax returns, you cannot change from joint filing to separate filing after the due date of April 15th. ChaCha!

April 15th is the day by which all taxpayers must file their taxes with the state and federal governments. Exemptions are fairly easy to obtain, however. An exemption allows taxes to be paid at some specified later time, usually within the next quarter.
