Can I text 911?
911 is the number for emergencies, but it is currently only for voice calls, not text or pictures or movies. The technology, called NG9-1-1 is being tested all over America to be able to do that someday, but for now, in an emergency just call 9-1-1.

No. You cannot text 911 in an emergency. You must call and talk to them with your voice. ChaCha for now!
