Can mosquitos carry HIV?
Studies conducted by the CDC and elsewhere have shown no evidence of HIV transmission through mosquitoes or any other insects. They cannot for a couple reasons: mosquitoes digest the virus and mosquitoes do not ingest enough HIV particles. ChaCha again!

About HIV
HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency virus. It is a lentivirus (a member of the retrovirus family) that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), a condition in humans in which the immune system begins to fail, leading to life-threatening opportunistic infections.
