Can the seller of a home (an investment property) pay some of the required 20% down payment If so, how much can be gifted?
Home sellers can help buyers pay closing costs by giving a portion of their proceeds back to the buyer at closing and the amount depends on the type of loan the buyer is getting. Sellers are not allowed to give home buyers down payment funds. ChaCha!
