Can water turtles eat on land?
No! Water turtles do not eat on land! They are carnivores, & feed on annelids, crustaceans, and fish. Baby water turtles are lively, entertaining pets for adults and older children. Like other amniotes (reptiles, dinosaurs, birds, and mammals), they breathe air and do not lay eggs underwater, although many species live in or around water. Thanks for asking ChaCha!

About Water
Water is by far the most important substance on Earth. Water covers over 70 percent of the planet and makes up between 50 and 75 percent of the human body. In fact, it's one of the only things we are positive needs to be present for life to exist. When scientists look for life in our solar system and on exoplanets, they are looking for liquid water.
