Can you describe the fight between Gatsby and Tom. What do these men think of one other? How are they similar? How are they different?
The fight that occurs between Gatsby and Tom is representative of the feelings that these two men have had toward each other since they have known about each other yet were kept bottled up. Gatsby and Tom are like in the fact that they both want what they can't have- a great example is their extramarital relationships. However, they are different in the way that they go about it. Gatsby and Tom's fight is all about Daisy- Tom tries to convince Daisy that Gatsby is a criminal and to "join his side". ChaCha!
