Osiris Egyptian religion's two chief gods were Amon-Ra and Osiris. Amon-Ra was believed to be the sun god and the lord of the universe. Osiris was the god of the underworld and was the god that made a peaceful afterlife possible. The Ancient Egyptians lived in terror of evil spirits and the displeasure of the gods. Some of the gods of Ancient Egypt were state gods, some were gods who looked after matters of daily importance and some Egyptian gods governed the realms of the dead. ChaCha again!
