Can you get a cancerous tumor removed and not have to get radiology?
A malignant (cancerous) tumor may be removed if it is deemed operable, and your oncologist will decide if radiation therapy is necessary. Your situation may be best suited to just chemotherapy, just radiation, or chemotherapy and radiation. ChaCha!

About Radiation Therapy
Radiation Therapy or Radiotherapy is a cancer treatment that uses energy as particles or waves to kill cancer cells. It is done by machines that send these waves directly into the cancer cells or tumor externally but it can also be delivered internally by placing radio active substances inside your body. It destroys cancer cells and good cells but it is directed as close as possible away from good cells to avoid damage.

About Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy or Chemo is a cancer treatment which uses chemicals to fight and kill cancer cells. It comes in different forms and can be taken intravenously or orally in a pill form depending on the type and dose needed. Chemo therapy is often invasive and causes serious side effects. It sets out to kill cancer cells but also kills good cells along the way. It cannot determine the good cells from the bad. It must be given in doses because one big dose can actually be fatal.
