Android is an operating system (OS) for smartphones. Android was purchased by Google in 2005, and is based on a modified version of the open source Linux kernel. The Android system was designed to compete with Apple iOS and has since passed iOS in terms of market share. The Droid Incredible is an Android-based phone by HTC for the Verizon Wireless network. It uses a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and an Adreno 200 GPU. It also features a 3.7-inch screen AMOLED screen, Android 2.2 Froyo, an 8 MP camera, and a 1500 mAh battery. The Droid Incredible 2 releases on April 28,2011 with a 4-inch screen, and 1GHz Snapdragon processor.
