About Yeast Infection
A yeast infection is a fungal infection caused by any of the candida species of yeast. The infections are usually minor. However, if you have a weakened immune system, they can be potentially life threatening. Yeast infections cause local inflammation and discomfort, itching. burning, soreness, and sometimes a grayish cottage cheese like discharge is present.
