1st Geneva Convention focuses on the rights of individuals, combatants & non-combatants, during war. It bans acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group & declares genocide a crime under international law whether committed during war or peacetime. It bans all torture & discrimination against women & children.
