Do not use any type of ointment on a new navel piercing. Avoid A&D, bacitracin, Neosporin, and bactine because they can smother a piercing. Wear lose fitting clothing that allows the piercing to breath. Cotton works best. Clean it w/ saline solution. ChaCha 24/7!

About Belly Button
The belly button is a scar on the abdomen from where the umbilical cord is removed at birth.
