A interesting astronomical phenomenon that will happen on 12/21/2012 (the supposed Mayan doomsday date) when the sun rises on that day, as seen from Central America, it will be in the direction of Sagittarius in the exact center of the galaxy. The Mayans really believed that 12/21/2012 would actually be more of a transition phase, pointing to a new period in time. ChaCha!
