Could the Revolution of 1828 been avoided?
The election of 1828 is often called the "Revolution of 1828." There was an increased turnout of voters at this election. The large turnout proved that the common people now had the vote and the will to use it for their ends. It does not seem that this could have been prevented, because the people had just had enough.
