Korean War Yes. Omar Nelson Bradley was the last surviving five-star commissioned officer of the United States and the first general to be selected Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. As Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Bradley was the senior military commander at the outset of the Korean War. Thanks!
