Did Jonas die in the book 'The Giver' by Lois Lowry?
The ending is ambiguous, with Jonas depicted as experiencing symptoms of hypothermia. This leaves his and Gabriel's future unresolved. However, their survival is made apparent in Messenger, a companion novel written much later. At the end it also hints that he may have heard music coming from a distance, and that he and Gabriel might have survived. ChaCha!
