Yes and No. Self-portraits taken by a NASA probe on the surface of Mars may have provided our first glimpse of liquid water on another planet. Space scientist Nilton Renno says images show blobs of liquid water clinging to the lander's titanium legs.

NASA was created on July 29, 1959 as a result of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA). NASA headquarters are located in Washington D.C.
