On Mar 6, 2012, espn.com reported that quarterback Peyton Manning would be released from the Indianapolis Colts. The four-time league MVP missed the entire 2011 season after having his third neck surgery in 19 months, a fusion of two vertebrae. The report says he will become a free agent and intends to keep playing football.
