Did Sir George Grenville, King George's Chancellor of the Exchequer, enacted the Revenue Act of 1764 to raise revenue for maintenance of the British Army in Americ?
One of the more prominent measures of Grenville's administration occurred in March of 1765 when Grenville authored the Stamp Act, enacted in November of that year, but I have found no mention of the Revenue Act of 1764. ChaCha on! ChaCha On!
