Did the French republic live up to the revolutions ideals of liberty, equality, and fratenity?
No. The revolution broke into factions which turned violently against each other. Thousands were imprisoned, tortured and murdered. The revolution ended with Napoleon becoming emperor and invading the rest of Europe. ChaCha!
