Did the Whig party wear wigs?
The Whig Party was a political party of the United States during the era of Jacksonian democracy operating in the early 1830s to the mid-1850s. The term 'whig' represented people who identified as opposing tyranny. Earlier Whigs did wear wigs, but not because of the name. That was the fashion for many years but by the 1800s it had fallen away. ChaCha!
