Did the woman who got attacked by the Chimp loose her hands?
Charla Nash, attacked by a chimp, is in critical condition. She did not lose her hands. She was able to stab the chimp in defense.

About Chimp Attack
In February 2009, a 200 pound pet chimpanzee went crazy after its owner asked Charla Nash to help lure it back into her home. The animal ripped off Nash's hands, nose, lips and eyelids. The chimp was shot and killed by police. Charla has been evaluated for a potential face transplant at Brigham and Women's Hospital. It would help her smell, breath and eat, while a hand transplant would help make her be more independent.

She is proof that monkeys make terrible pets, the average chimp is about 5 times stronger than the strongest guy you know, plus they have sharp teeth and get away before you have time to react.
