Did we evolve from monkeys?

Rate This Answer

Monkeys Evolution argues that modern humans and monkeys have a common ancestor that we both evolved from. Modern genetic studies have shown this to be the case. However, that first modern human that evolved from that ancestor can be understood as a scientific and biblical 'Eve' without any real difficulty.

It would depend on who you ask. Many feel we evolved from monkeys, and some people think we were created. No one knows for sure.

Humans did not evolve from monkeys. We are more closely related to apes than to monkeys, but we didn't evolve from apes, either.
